We regret to inform our club members that Luke Murphy died suddenly on Saturday after a short spell in hospital. Our deepest sympathy goes to Christine, Luke, Peter and the whole family at this tragic time.
Luke was an Honorary Life Member and had served our club with distinction for over 50 years, firstly as a player, then youth coach and as a dedicated committee member. Luke was our Club Secretary for many years and helped to transform our clubs facilities by making several successful financial grant applications.
Luke was a kind, friendly and generous man who worked tirelessly for our club and our local community. We have lost one of the nicest men anyone could meet and a thoroughly good man.
